Quick video test using gopro studio do speed up 16x, then final edit with Sony Home Movie Studio 12 - I like the motion blur effect of speed up and this is much quicker/more efficient than either Windows Movie Maker (takes ages to pre-process) or two passes in HMS12 (can only do 4x speed up per pass), so I will use this from now on.
Only issue is the slight colour balance change when I switch out of the gopro studio pass into the original video, probably not noticable if your not looking for it, but still strange.
