We took Harry (4) and Evie (10) to the Bear Trail kids muddy assault course in Cullompton on Sunday, I wanted to try out the Git2 gyro stabilised Gopro clone action camera, so seemed a good opportunity.
I wore Git2 camera in waterproof housing on a chest mount and just went round with the kids. Gyro Video stabilisation I think is really impressive, no stabilisation added in post, 1080/60 video spliced/edited, and rendered out 1080/30 for youtube, I have brightened up a bit only (in youtube fill light +2 for some darker bits at start pointing into sun).
The contrast is hit and miss (and was a bit darker than this when it came off camera) and Gopro3 would do better, but would be too shakey to watch, so until Hero5 comes out in a few weeks, I think Git2 did the best job overall you'd get from any of todays action cameras.
Kids found some bits difficult as they should, but generally really enjoyed it, and we were lucky with weather, apart from a brief heavy downpour it was dry and sunny, if a bit windy.
As with all my videos we paid with my own money as normal customers ;)
