From KPBI Fox 46/15, the original Fox affiliate in the Fort Smith, AR market. For a while in 1996, we had a bizarre little relationship with competing station KFSM (CBS), where they produced a 9pm newscast to air on our station. Richard Speer was often the anchor of that newscast, and he jammed out the Maple Leaf Rag on a piano in our studio during a visit to appear on our self-produced morning show, 46 Good Day. The station management thought this was so nifty that they wanted a promo made out of it.
I still don't know how this connected at all to a 9pm newscast.
