A sweeps piece from late 2000 about folks getting sick playing video games. We had virtually no B-roll of video games. I collect video games. So the conversation with my boss went like this: "So John, can I check out a camera and shoot a bunch of video games with it?" "Sure." Most of what I played wasn't even terribly recent (or, in some cases, terribly good), but we suddenly had a bunch of video game B-roll, which I think was also used in the story. Good times.
