This quick tutorial shows you how to do this illusion yourself using your own laptop and Zoom. No editing software needed.Here are the basic steps: o Start a Zoom meeting with no one else in it o Change the Video Settings to not be mirrored o Go to Full Screen mode o Take a screenshot without yourself in it o Save the screenshot o In Zoom, set that image as your Virtual Background o Click "I have a green screen" o Wear a green shirtIf you don't have a green shirt, you can use other solid-color shirts - Zoom lets you pick the color for the green screen.Try not to move the camera or anything in the background, so that everything stays aligned. So this would not work if you're using Zoom on a hand-help camera that's moving. Burn your lottery tickets: My statement about the $1.5 billion Powerball Matthew Weathers 2016-01-17 | Okay... this is staged - I'm burning a worthless piece of paper. (Numbers are similar but not in the same order as drawn.)Yes, it's true that I don't like the idea of the lottery (haven't bought a ticket in more than a decade before this), and I stand by my statement in the video and think people shouldn't play...But I teach math and since the lottery was in the news, I bought a $4 ticket and I was thinking about doing a video about the mathematical expected value of a ticket (which would have been higher than the price of the ticket... but only if no one else bought a ticket and you didn't have to potentially share the $1.5 billion jackpot).However, when it was announced that a winning ticket was purchased in Southern California (not far from where I purchased this, I think), and I had some similar numbers on my ticket (five out of 12 numbers), I decided I would make a statement about the lottery.(Although a few numbers match, none of the main numbers appear in the same order drawn, and as for the Powerball number, if you have two draws, there's a 2/26 (7.6923%) chance that one will match, not that unlikely.The Jan 13, 2016 drawing was 08, 27, 34, 04, 19 - out of a possible 69. Excluding the Powerball, the chances of guessing those five numbers in order is 69*68*67*66*65. However... mine were in a different order, and there are 5*4*3*2*1 (120) possible orderings for any given set of five numbers.)Still... my message is the same: don't play the lottery. Instead, save your money, use it to pay down debts, then when you're debt-free start saving money (probably in low cost index mutual funds.)
