Matthews Adventures
I performed one of my video pranks at a technology conference in Amman, Jordan. My colleague Joseph and I were there for four days. After the performance, we were able to spend a day in the ancient stone city of Petra. Here are some pictures and video from that trip.

This is the story of how I lost about 88 ETH, equivalent to about $210,000 at the time. I also talk about the bigger perspective, and my thoughts and feelings about the incident. This part won't make much sense to most people, since I have a basic set of assumptions different that those of many people. But still, it may be helpful to someone. Or to a later version of myself.
Also, this isn't scripted, and so it's a bit longer, and a bit more rambling than my usual videos. Fair warning.

I ended up deciding to split this video into two parts to keep it from getting too long. This part is mostly a timeline. Part 2 will focus more on the experience, perspective, and financial ideas.
Suggestions? I'm thinking of doing a follow-up on my Bitcoin video, or a "How To" series about my projector prank videos. I'm open to suggestions.
I hope you all have a great new year. Happy 2020!
It was a great trip, and I enjoyed it. This is sort of a mellow video, not too much more than a quick description of our weekend trip and some pictures.
Also, I have a handful of pictures from a trip to Kansas City a few years ago, and a trip to Long Beach a couple days ago.

Start small. In this video, I show you how to pick a random spot near you on a Google Map. I used this to find a new restaurant I'd never heard of or been to. This is an example of a small-scale adventure. Adventure is a state of mind, and you can have adventures and explorations on different scales, such as this random map idea for a couple hours, or visiting new cities and countries if you have more time.
Also, you can be adventurous in many realms such as visiting new places, consuming different media and music, or meeting new people.
In this video, I show various pictures from a recent trip to Las Vegas. Most of the shots are from Wynn, Encore, Aria, and McCarran Airport.
Here's a link to the Random Google Spot shown in the video: goo.gl/maps/HkRPUSXwkxGMfmvs6
And here's a Google Maps link to the Off the Hook Fish Grill restaurant shown at the end: goo.gl/maps/Hn7Gv5CaJAMRVxzt8
(I had the two-taco plate, one grilled fish taco, one shrimp taco, with creamy cilantro sauce. Yum!)
If any of you do this random Google Map thing, let me know! I'm curious how it turns out for you. And if you send me a link to a YouTube video about it, I'll post it in a pinned comment so others can see it, too.
Also: I've been thinking some about maps and how they help us understand our place in the world and help us get places. I'm thinking about making a video about Las Vegas, public transportation, and maps.

I had never been to Vancouver or Bellingham, and I like exploring new places. Also, I was able to attend the annual Bellingham SeaFeast event, which happened to be the same weekend.
I also plan to read and respond to as many comments as possible here. Thanks for watching!
