The finished table is about 865lbs (390kg). With the vise it's about 1,025lb (465kg). The steel for the frame cost $235. The top was a scrap, cut from the center of a ring, and I don't remember the exact cost but I guess $400. The vise cost more than twice as much as the table, but both should last a few lifetimes.

The legs are 1" square tube, 16 gauge wall. They are angled at 5°. The top is 12.5" square, 1.25" thick.
If you want to try the texture on the top, you don't need a CNC machine, just use a router table with a 90° V-bit.

Why am I changing my channel name?? (It has changed already, but here's why)
In short, the “Woodshop” part of the name is limiting.
In long, with "Jer’s Woodshop”, everyone expects me to post only woodworking videos. But I also like metalworking, and just making in general. I don’t intend to change the sort of videos I make, and I’ll definitely keep making stuff. There might be a bit more metalworking, and some projects that aren’t tools. Believe it or not these tools & jigs usually take a lot of time to design, so if I want to post videos more frequently, there will need to be some more basic projects. In the long run it is to the benefit of this channel. You don’t need to do anything, and you will stay subscribed. The name will change to Jeremy Schmidt on December 12, 2015. Thanks!
