Come on a road trip to Texas Motor Speedway for 4th gear 100+mph entries and ride-alongs in gnarly pro-am cars! Turbo and Supercharged V8s, JZ's and a couple radical SR cars for good measure!
I wanted to scout out this track and gather intel on it for next year, and I'm so glad that I did: it was an awesome trip with adrenaline-pumping ride-alongs, and now I know what I'll be getting into next season when I bring my S13 down to shred with my neighbors in Lone Star Drift! Also look forward to next week's video of pure driving footage from this event including some sweet tandems and gravel-blasting wipeouts!
TMS is traditionally associated with NASCAR racing for it's 1.5 mile banked oval track which generates speeds upwards of 150mph, but in the infield there's a pretty sweet road course as well. The road course is 40 feet wide with 15 turns total, the Lone Star layout uses about 3 of them but drivers can run every turn but one (where they line up) if they want.
