Failing to plan is planning to fail.

As you are setting your weekly, monthly, and 6-month plans, here are 4 questions I encourage you to ask yourself as you are creating a schedule that will position you to reach your goals:

Who am I?
Our identity should clarify what we do each day. It should determine the goals we set for ourselves, our marriages, our families, and our careers.

Why am I here?
Once we know who we are, we should have more clarity as to what we should be doing with our time and the goals we are best equipped to reach.

What is important to me?
Our priorities will be reflected in our calendars. If you are not accomplishing things that are important to you; that’s your fault! Here’s an example: My wife is important to me, so—on my weekly calendar—you will see a recurring and unmovable entry every Wednesday night, “Date Night!”

How can I best accomplish what is important to me?
Our weekly, monthly, and 6-month plans should include practical steps that create the margin, moments, and momentum to help what’s important to us to actually happen.
