Taos Winds Chakra 2026… Welcome to the future… 2026. From my new album/series project; 4. Heart Chakra, 6-minutes of sound layers that will bring you into tune, balance, love, compassion, harmony, and the centered presence of the heart.
The Heart Chakra is the living center of the chakra system, the sacred bridge between earth and sky, body and spirit, self and all that is. It is the place where love, compassion, forgiveness, and harmony gather into balance. When this center is open, its energy does not push or pull; it radiates, helping the body soften, the mind quiet, and the spirit remember its natural connection to life.
In its awakened state, the Heart Chakra becomes a green and golden field of living resonance, where giving and receiving meet in the same breath. Your Heart Chakra is at the very center of your energy being.
Balance here brings a centered openness that feels calm, spacious, and alive, like a soft wind moving through the high desert after rain. Love becomes less of an idea and more of a frequency. Compassion finds its rhythm. Peace returns to the body. The world stops feeling separate and begins to feel connected through the quiet intelligence of the heart.
Most of all, a harmonized Heart Chakra restores the natural rhythm of love and presence. It reconnects you to the breath within, the pulse beneath compassion, and the quiet truth that your heart is not only within the universe, but also a living doorway through which the universe is felt. When the Heart Chakra is open and balanced, the entire system becomes more peaceful, connected, forgiving, radiant, and ready to love without losing its center.
…A bit of backstory on this project: “Taos Winds Chakra 2026”…
In the 1980s, my first Chakra album came into being. It was a gift for a friend who was doing healing work with stones and sound. He thought the music I was doing at the time would fit very well into his healing routines, so I put together an album with frequency soundscapes at the core of it all.
But, it wasn’t until 2000 that I was able to take it to the next level, and create what many of you are familiar with, “Taos Winds Chakra.” I bought a Korg Triton Pro Workstation to have as the center of my studio, a very cutting-edge synth at the time, and I do still use it to this day. It took my sound and frequency work to the next level. I released the album Chakra anywhere I could at the time, and it did well.
But, in 2010, I was walking by my CD rack one evening, and Taos Winds Chakra jumped out at me. I pulled it from the rack and popped it into the CD player. Within minutes my thoughts went to YouTube. I had a channel already, had it since 2006 at the very beginning of YouTube, but never really did anything with it, just random projects… As I listened to the original Chakra album, I knew I had to share it with a larger audience. I immediately set out to create visuals for each Chakra soundscape/music. I dug deep into my toolbox, and created the first series of moving Chakra colored cloudscapes using fractals in Adobe After Effects. Synced the soundscapes and cloudscapes, and let them fly out into the world… It worked, that album is at the very foundation of Taos Winds Spirit Music.
Years later, almost 1000 videos later, I return to the foundation, but, with the 2026 version, “Taos Winds Chakra 2026.” The future in which we have arrived…
It is all new music/soundscapes and visuals, no reproduction of the original in any way, it is Chakra 2026. I do return to the roots of its unique sounds though, The Korg Triton. I still use the Triton on a fairly regular basis, but with this project, I have decided to honor the original album, I will use only the Triton sounds, as it was with Chakra 2000.

Side note here: the release of the Triton in 1999, was the pinnacle, the summit, of the 80s and 90s synth evolution. Some of the most lush, hypnotic, and wonderous sounds of the time… and still even now it sits high upon the top shelf of synths.
