Taos Winds Chakra 2026… Welcome to the future… 2026. From my new album/series project; 2. Sacral Chakra, 6-minutes of sound layers that will bring you into tune and balance.
The Sacral Chakra is the flowing current within the chakra system, the warm creative tide that awakens feeling, movement, pleasure, and emotional expression. It is the place where life begins to dance after it has found its ground. When this center is balanced, its power does not force; it moves with grace, inviting the body to soften, the heart to feel, and the spirit to create from a place of openness and ease.
In its awakened state, the Sacral Chakra becomes a clear pool of creative life force, where emotion and imagination meet. This is not the rising fire of Kundalini, but the sacred water that teaches energy how to flow. A tuned Sacral Chakra allows feelings to move without becoming overwhelming, creativity to open without resistance, and connection to deepen without losing the self.
Balance here brings a sensual strength that feels fluid and alive, a sense of being carried like moonlight across water. Creativity gains color and motion. Emotions find rhythm. Joy returns to the body. The world stops feeling rigid and begins to feel like a living current you can move with, shape with, and be shaped by.
Most of all, a harmonized Sacral Chakra restores the natural rhythm of feeling and creation. It reconnects you to the waters within, the pulse beneath desire, and the quiet spark that turns emotion into art, movement, intimacy, and renewal. When the Sacral Chakra is open and balanced, the entire system becomes more fluid, expressive, resonant, and ready to flow.
…A bit of backstory on this project: “Taos Winds Chakra 2026”…
In the 1980s, my first Chakra album came into being. It was a gift for a friend who was doing healing work with stones and sound. He thought the music I was doing at the time would fit very well into his healing routines, so I put together an album with frequency soundscapes at the core of it all.
But, it wasn’t until 2000 that I was able to take it to the next level, and create what many of you are familiar with, “Taos Winds Chakra.” I bought a Korg Triton Pro Workstation to have as the center of my studio, a very cutting-edge synth at the time, and I do still use it to this day. It took my sound and frequency work to the next level. I released the album Chakra anywhere I could at the time, and it did well.
But, in 2010, I was walking by my CD rack one evening, and Taos Winds Chakra jumped out at me. I pulled it from the rack and popped it into the CD player. Within minutes my thoughts went to YouTube. I had a channel already, had it since 2006 at the very beginning of YouTube, but never really did anything with it, just random projects… As I listened to the original Chakra album, I knew I had to share it with a larger audience. I immediately set out to create visuals for each Chakra soundscape/music. I dug deep into my toolbox, and created the first series of moving Chakra colored cloudscapes using fractals in Adobe After Effects. Synced the soundscapes and cloudscapes, and let them fly out into the world… It worked, that album is at the very foundation of Taos Winds Spirit Music.
Years later, almost 1000 videos later, I return to the foundation, but, with the 2026 version, “Taos Winds Chakra 2026.” The future in which we have arrived…
It is all new music/soundscapes and visuals, no reproduction of the original in any way, it is Chakra 2026. I do return to the roots of its unique sounds though, The Korg Triton. I still use the Triton on a fairly regular basis, but with this project, I have decided to honor the original album, I will use only the Triton sounds, as it was with Chakra 2000.

Side note here: the release of the Triton in 1999, was the pinnacle, the summit, of the 80s and 90s synth evolution. Some of the most lush, hypnotic, and wonderous sounds of the time… and still even now it sits high upon the top shelf of synths.
