Greetings all 2,000+ subscribers, dearest friends, and a happy birthday to you ladies and gents born this month! Granted I wish I could make you each your own separate gifts (and I'm gonna *try*) but I will be extra busy in the coming weeks prepping for college so I cannot promising anything I'm afraid. (Hope ya dont mind sharing this year again some of you!)
Also, there is one more friend not listed with a birthday, today, actually, but unfortunately I cant list her name, sooo Happy Birthday Glory's sister!! :)
Today also marks the 3 year Anniversary of when I first created my Youtube account back in 2011! I didn't start makin vids till fall that year, but I failed on every attempt in WLMM and pretty soon, gave up. However a few months later after having my first taste at editing, I kept thinking about it, and hated the thought of failing, (plus seeing vid after vid by thefanvideoer2 wasn't helping then) so I decided to try again. Tried n tried again and on December 11 that year I successfully made my first vid! (A GMV) Since then I've made 98 vids in total! (Technically its 99 but I cant take credit for a certain B-day gift to one of my friends in 2013 ;)
The reason I'm briefly telling you my story though is not just because its my anniversary, but hopefully as an inspiration to you 2,000 or so subscribers to not give up or feel discouraged in your respected passions, and to- try, try, try. Whether thats editing or something entirely different. Thats my theme to you in this vid, and since editing is my specialty I want you to know I'm also always willing to help any of you in this area, from tips to getting started. :)
Thats my way of saying thank you for all you've done for me in the past 3 years in helping me get to where I am today. So I wanted to return the favor by trying to be more than just an inspiration to you 2,000+ people now. Oh and speaking of subs, another milestone was reached Monday, July 21st with an almost unimaginable sum of subs sooo, THANK YOU ALL SOOO MUCH!!!! =D
Eek, but I'm still not done! To anyone still reading this, (most likely my loyal buddies thank goodness) I wanted to thank you all for the overwhelming dose of presents n gifts on my Birthday! I'll treasure each and every one + the thoughts and messages behind them! Now about this vid. Gosh its so old! I started it Aug 12, 2013, back when ROTG, WiR, Epic, and Brave were in they're heyday (for me that is). Originally this project was a tester of all these movies I was ripping then like- Lion King 2, Teen Titans, and Nemo (to name some new 1st appearance favs), but I started to like the way they were looking and wanted it to be more special. I was aiming at 1,000 subs to give this to you guys but you moved to fast for me then so I've been waiting for the next big day, ahehe. Course I had to update it with some newer movies like Frozen, HTTYD2, MPAS, and Fox and the Hound that I just got btw. For Frozen though I tried to squeeze it in sooner in case you didn't notice ;)
In effects, Thank you Wolfie for tips on the coloring! (Only thing I did different was add some saturation and a spot light. Though now I wish I had a tad more contrast). I wanted to keep this one pretty basic with only a few layers and one overlay. Hope you like the looks of it! One of these days I'll get the hand of doing text with this Vegas. =)

This was my second favorite song from the Mufasa soundtrack (And its the last one Im doing for the record). After the love I received for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEdUmqZmrQc (Until it was tragically marked for preschoolers.) I felt heavily inspired to put this together, in record time too. Only took like a week and been waiting over 2 weeks to publish. Ive been so excited to share it with ya!! 😁 After making these two vids, I am convinced HTTYD could make a great musical, ahehe.
While listening to this song for the first time all I could think was how cute it would be with Hiccstrid during HTTYD 1 when Astrid is trying to uncover what Hiccup is up too..... From there it just divulges into him in denial with these undeniable clips of them in passionate love. These two are so intoxicating, I swear if this gets marked as made for kids too I am gonna scream! There is no way you can convince me the way these two look at each other is for kids under 13 only. NO!
I really need to do more Hiccstrid vids, its been a hot-minute since Ive done a strict Hiccstrid edit. I guess the last one was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTNqZBASpng which was 7 years ago. 😵 BUT I still think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpIrRy0fNZs counts.
I was afraid I couldnt find some of the Hiccstrid clips since its been awhile since Ive edited or watched the shows, especially from RTTE but how could I doubt my HTTYD knowledge? However, I have seriously lost count how many times these two have hugged and kissed each other, just in RTTE alone.....my gosh its almost scandalous!! 🤣 Lets face it that series was for Hiccstrid fans, lol!

Cause perfect only makes you crazy!
IDK what it is with me and Elsa and these heavy rock songs with female artists but here’s another one to add to my Frozen collection. I know I’m suppose to be finishing up B-day vids but its been a tough week and I needed to vent. Fortunately this one was been in what I call my post-production stage a month now and I’ve slowly been making the final touches so its ready at long last. Yes, I wanted it to be “perfect!” (;
I must point out, this does NOT represent my feelings right now –I am not THIS messed up! I’m fine right now, but I have been having a bad bout with perfectionism lately in my schoolwork which has made CRAZY! There are some days I am just sick of trying to be good and please everybody, of trying so hard to get good grades to make one wrong move that messes everything up! *shakes head in disgust* This song really captures that rather rebellious spirit I seldom show. I needed to let go and for once just not care so much.
I fist heard this song while doing homework and listening to Pandora in the background; I had it tuned out at first because if you listen to the beginning of this song its really heavy metal, at my limit of rock music, but my head popped up when it got the first verse thinking, “Did someone say frozen?” Then on each line just screamed Elsa at me; It was very hard to concentrate on my homework after that...
This project started as a quick vent back in February and I was only going to make up to 1:04 with mild effects but I liked it so much I decided to go ahead and continue with the second verse and then got a surge of creative inspiration for the final verse so now it’s a full length vid! (And I trimmed the song too).
This was a real wild and fun vid to make, despite trying to get everything just right; I got to experiment a lot with various effects, new overlays and was even inspired enough to add text. (Which totally sucks, my text never looks as good as other peoples’. IDK how some of you do it!) This is the first lyrical vid I’ve done with Frozen though so that’s different. *Yay!*
It took 9 LONG hours to render this baby, per render – And I rendered it 5 times. *Crazy I know* But the 9 hour render was for the 60 FPS and I did that twice while the other three were in standard HD which took about 2 hours each. So I spent 24 hours total rendering it all together. *embraces life as an editor*
Oh and I got my old Frozen signature back! Anyone notice? :)
