How to make a flat, ribbon-like 3-loop braid, how to split your braid and make "two-braids-at-once"--which is great for making a loop or buttonhole in your round or flat braid.

Then I go on way too long talking, (sorry!), continuing with the rounder version, and at
2:22 I demo a trick for tightening 3-loop braids very differently than other square braids. It helps make the braid tight, evenly tensioned and strong.
Then at 5:00 I demo how to make the other two shape variations--divided (for making a loop in the braid), and flat (for making a wider, ribbon-like braid)
