NOTE: I will edit this to take out the LONG pauses I had when trying to find features in Motion Builder that I had forgotten when I did this a few days ago. If you are wanting to use Motion Builder to map Brekel motion capture date to a Mixamo character, follow these steps (youtube.com/watch?v=NdSUMcfYgQ8). Keep in mind that this only gives you a model compatible with Mixamo character model, not Unreal or Unity. I plan to try out the Brekel Motion Capture for Unity 3D next year, but jump to my iClone demo on bringing Brekel motion capture in and converting to a Maya skeleton, along with the Mixamo Character. The cool thing is that not only will this allow all the iClone animations to work, but you can export to Unreal, which also had some long pauses as it loaded up. But skip ahead to see the final results. I will also add further footage after the shaders finished rebuilding so you can see Vincent in all his color glory. iClone is real deal at $240.00 with importer and character tool, till the end of the year.
In this episode we are going to cover the following:
- Brief demo of the iPad Pro app Shapr3D
shapr3d.com
- Primer on computer animation, specifically related to creating animation in gaming.
- Brief demo of Autodesk MotionBuilder
autodesk.com/products/motionbuilder
- Brief demo of iClone 3DXchange 7
reallusion.com/iclone/pipeline.html
- Brief demo of iClone
