Chicago screws, aka binder post or post & screws, are a niche hardware that's used for mounting glass in displays, or as a way to mount the chape and buckle on a belt. In a previous video I tested a belt made with cap screws and they were uncomfortable. Chicago screws are designed for applications like this, and work a whole lot better than cap screws.
I did buy these at a big box store because I was impatient to try them. I got the samples I talked about a few days latter in the mail. While they did work, the post were not well machined or threaded. They work for what I need them to, but I'll see if the samples I got are better quality.
