After Ultimaker (UM) and Makerbot (MB) merged, they needed to come to the printer market quickly with a new product. Their solution: Clone Flashforge (FF) Adventure 4, cram MB software into it and call it the Sketch Large (a terrible name for any product).
Both printers hardware and appearance are incredibly close, and the function of both is similar. The main difference is that UM is charging MB's high prices for a larger version of their underwhelming Sketch printer.
This is not an endorsement of either printer, but a commentary on how UM just released a FF clone. UM should have led off with a more unique product after the merger, because right now it looks like MB is corrupting your engineering and sales teams.
