Just in time for Mother’s Day, I’ve got a lavish 3-D cookie project for you today that’s sure to make your mom feel ultra special! It employs a wide range of decorating techniques, from stenciling to detailed piping, none of which is very hard, but when taken together, really make this project sing. Ultimately, the key to this project is having patience and allowing adequate drying time between decorating and assembly steps.

PROJECT DIMENSIONS:
For lid: 1 (5 ½-inch) square with notched corners; 1 (4-inch) square with notched corners, 1 (1 ½-inch) round with ¼-inch hole in center
For handle: 1 (3-inch-long) plaque with sides trimmed off, baked on bamboo skewer
For sides: 4 (3 ½-inch) squares
For curved corners: 4 (3 ½ x 1 1/4-inch) rectangles shaped over 1 1/4-inch-diameter tube
For base: 1 (5 3/4-inch) square with notched corners
For feet (optional): 4 (4-inch-long) plaques with ends trimmed off
