Thursday, Magic Leap gave another one of their live-stream Q/A sessions and actually showed some pre-shot video stream from a Magic Leap, and to say many were disappointed would be an understatement, myself included.
I have several issues but the main one that sticks out is the millions of investment dollars from companies like Alphabet that were poured into Magic Leap, and sadly the results are not much better than what I can get on my $15 AR Cardboard device. That’s a stretch, but since I have been working on an AR device, and tried out a few phone based versions, as well as the Hololens, and seen the video purported to shot from MR devices like Meta, Dreamworld, AntVR and the open source project from Leap Motion, I really can’t say Magic Leap, has been just that -- a “Magic” Leap, or even a leap at all -- tragic to say the least.
