This one row repeat pattern is very easy to make. I used a bulky yarn (Bernat Softee Chunky) and a 9 mm hook. Using the measurements given, you could use any size hook and any appropriate yarn to make this easy wrap poncho. It works as a long rectangle, and then one end of the rectangle is sewn to the SIDE of the opposite end of the rectangle. Use the foundation row at the neck as it will have less stretch.

With bulky yarn and a 9 mm hook use the following.
If using a different size
yarn and hook use the measurement in brackets.
Adult SMALL - fits 30 - 34 inch chest: chain 110 (approx. 44 inches)
Adult MEDIUM: fits 36-40 inch chest: chain122 (approx. 46 inches)
Adult LARGE: fits 40 - 46 inch chest: chain126 (approx. 48 inches
Adult XLARGE: fits 46 - 52 inch chest: chain 130 (approx. 56 inches)
Adult XXLARGE:fits 52 - 58 inch chest chain 150 (approx. 62 inches)
Adult 3XL: fits 58 - 62 inch chest: chain160 (approx. 68 inches)
2.Single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook. *Pass hook
through the last loop of the single crochet stitch and in the
next stitch, Pull a loop through (3 loops on the hook), pull
yarn through all 3 loops. Repeat from * across the row.
3. Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the
hook. Working in the *Pass hook through the last loop of the single crochet stitch and in the next stitch, WORKING IN THE BACK SIDE OF THE STITCH ONLY, pull a loop through (3 loops on
the hook), pull yarn through all 3 loops. Repeat from * across
the row.
4. Repeat step 3 until the work measures approx.
Adult SMALL: 13 inches (approx.14 rows.)
Adult MEDIUM 14 inches:(approx 15 rows)
Adult LARGE:15 inches (approx. 16 rows)
Adult XLARGE:16 inches (approx. 17 rows)
Adult XXLARGE:17 inches (approx. 18 rows)
Adult 3XL:18 inches (approx. 19 - 20 rows)
Fasten off.
Sew the right side to the side of the left side. (Use the foundation row at the top of the poncho to form the neck opening so as to avoid the neckline from stretching out as the foundation chain will not be as stretchy.)
