2-Stick Fireboard bowdril (fire by friction). The fireboard and spindle are made from yellow long-leaf pine.
After several failed attempts today I finally got another successful coal/ ember on video. I did the 1st video on this method a few months back. The difference is the coal formed under the fireboard instead of on top.
My goal was only to get a glowing ember (not start a fire). This is usually the hardest part when attempting to start a fire using this method.
