This version uses the same 16-colour 320x200 EGA mode as before. However, when running on VGA hardware, it exploits the fact that the EGA palette is mapped onto the VGA palette, and uses the VGA palette to set up a nice 16-colour blue gradient, which allows nice flatshaded lighting.
