This shows how and where I setup my low power (5 watt transmit power, aka QRP) portable ham radio station for the 2018 Amateur Radio Field Day event. If you don't know what Field Day is, here's a flyer:

The "exchange" you hear includes a number (1, 2, 3, etc.) which indicates how many transmitters are setup at that site, followed by a letter (A, B, etc.) which indicate the class of the station (club or individual, commercial power or temporary power, etc.). The last part is the location based on the ARRL/RAC section designations. I'm in NNJ (Northern NJ Section). More about the rules/regs can be found here:

The radio is an Icom IC-703+ running 5W into a tri-band end-fed wire antenna (LNR Precision).
I'm set up in a very interesting location - one of the original Marconi Wireless transmitting sites:
