This weeks project took quite a lot of calculating (much of it incorrect). I took pieces of Purple Heart and Red Oak and laminated the boards together at to make a rhombus. Let the glue set and sliced it up into 3/4” boards and re-glued those in the desired pattern. Trimmed it down and slapped it on the lathe. The resultant bowl turned out awesome! I couldn’t be more happy with it!
