This video is a meeting of the Open Research Institute and covers FPGA work. It is a weekly meeting where members discuss their progress on various projects, including the Opulent Voice Project, the Remote Labs, and the Neptune Project.
Opulent voice project: Matthew and the team discuss progress on Opulent Voice. Matthew has been working on running simulations and has identified some issues with the hardware. He is hopeful that he can problem-solve the current issue with tuning the tracking loops, and have a good stable modem working in the on Pluto.
Remote Labs project: Paul discusses his progress on the Remote Labs upgrades. Remote Labs provide remote access to FPGA hardware. Paul has been working on installing software on Chococat and solved a problem with laptop installs of the Pluto-MSK firmware.
Neptune project: The team discusses their progress on the Neptune project, which is a project to develop a physical layer OFDM link for drones. Michelle has an article coming out in QEX about Zadoff-Chu sequences and how they are used on Neptune.
Overall, the team is making good progress on all of their projects. They are looking forward to receiving the plaque from the 2023 ARRL Technical Innovation award and to continuing to be useful and appreciated by the open source digital radio community.
