This hallmark annual event celebrates the remarkable legacy of the Japanese American WWII soldiers. The program highlights include the on-stage "Veteran Roll Call", In Memoriam recognition, 3rd Annual Living Nisei WWII Veteran Photo Tribute, a special rendition of "America the Beautiful" and the premiere of a new song, "His Story," written by Hiroshima's June Kuramoto, and performed live by award-winning Daniel Ho with a video of Kuramoto playing the koto.
Hosted by David Ono, ABC7 News Anchor and GFBNEC board member, the program features participation and presentations by the GFBNEC Torchbearers and other NextGen supports. Viewers will watch with a renewed sense of pride in the veterans' story, and be inspired to carry on their legacy for future generations.
