➡️Porsche’s 2027 911 GT3 S/C is the kind of car that’ll split the room instantly. Take a razor sharp coupe built with racetrack precision in mind and a badge steeped in motorsport history, remove the roof and suddenly everyone’s got opinions. But here’s the thing. This might actually be the version you’d should buy.
Why? Because you'll hear even more of the 502 hp naturally aspirated flat-six as you clip 9,000rpm before grabbing the next gear - which you do via a compulsory six-speed manual transmission.
And because Porsche has employed various pieces of lightweight GT3 RS bodywork and suspension, the S/C's 83 lbs (38 kg) weight penalty over a GT3 Touring coupe isn't as bad as you might have expected. The 3.7 second 0-60 mph time is identical to the Touring's, as is the 194 mph top speed.
The S/C lands in US dealers this fall as a full production model priced at $275,350 including destination. But you'll have to pay extra for the Street Style Package with its grey paint, red accents and garish plaid interior.
