2027 Mazda MX-5 - Key Updates & New Features
Enhanced Homura Grade: Features black 16-inch RAYS alloy wheels, red Brembo brake calipers, tuned Bilstein dampers with a front strut bar, black mirror caps, and black interior accents.
New "Yakudo" Special Edition (Soft Top only): Named after the Japanese word for dynamic movement and vitality, featuring silver exterior accents, silver Brembo brake calipers, and a high-quality Alcantara interior.
New "Zinc Green" Exterior Paint: Industrial and sophisticated metallic color available across all grades from October 2026 production onward.
Upgraded 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G Engine: Output increased to 136 PS and 155 Nm of torque with refined engine acoustics.
Improved Efficiency: Combined WLTP fuel consumption reduced to 6.1 l/100 km and CO2 emissions down to 139 g/km. Efficiency Enhancements: Achieved via optimized engine calibration, new lower-resistance engine oil, and lower rolling resistance tires.
Expanded Standard Safety: Driver Attention Alert (DAA) is now standard across all trim levels.
Interior & Upholstery Upgrades: Refined meter graphics, frameless rear-view mirror, synthetic leather console detailing (from Exclusive-Line), tan perforated Nappa leather (Kazari grade), and Leganu suede-like seating material (Homura & Yakudo grades).
