Here's the most important thing about the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt: it's one of the cheapest cars we've driven all year — and in an age of affordability concerns, that's a big deal. On this episode of Test Drive, Jason Stein reviews the new Bolt and finds the EV that finally gets normal people into EVs.

Chevy fixed the two things everybody complained about: it now takes a 150-kW DC fast charger and has a native NACS port, so it plugs into a Tesla Supercharger without an adapter. And it still drives like the old one did — light, tossable, easy to park, and quick enough — which is the highest compliment we can pay.

- Single front motor, 210 horsepower
- 65-kWh LFP battery, 262 miles of range
- 120 MPGe
- 150-kW DC fast charging with native NACS port (Tesla Supercharger–ready)

That's the least expensive new EV in America — and it's genuinely good.
