In this video I take a look at the new Suzuki GSX 8TT, Suzuki’s retro-inspired middleweight roadster that blends classic race bike styling with thoroughly modern performance.
Based on the excellent Suzuki GSX 8S, the GSX-8TT uses the same brilliant parallel-twin engine but wraps it in bodywork inspired by race bikes of the 1970s and 80s.
When it first launched the bike looked a little pricey, but with the price now around £8,999 plus on-the-road charges, it suddenly makes a lot more sense.
With its larger fuel tank, gorgeous retro styling and that punchy twin-cylinder motor, this might just be one of the most interesting middleweight bikes on the market right now.
But is it actually better than the GSX-8S?
And does the retro styling justify the extra cost?
