On 11 March, the UN Women Knowledge & Partnerships Centre, with support from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family of the Republic of Korea, hosted the commemoration of International Women's Day 2026 in Seoul. This event brought together approximately 180 participants, including diplomats, policymakers, academics, civil society leaders, and private sector representatives.
Director Ms. Yun Jeong Hwang emphasized that women’s rights must move beyond declarations to tangible actions, while H.E. Ms. Min-Kyong Won, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, delivered congratulatory remarks on how gender equality is the key to a sustainable future.
