DPCcars | 2025 Nissan Armada Pro-4X Revealed @DPCcars | Uploaded 1 month ago | Updated 1 day ago
Nissan is bringing significant changes to its largest sport utility vehicle, the 2025 Armada, making it more modern and capable than ever. This complete redesign introduces a sharper exterior, a technology-rich interior, a powerful new engine, and, for the first time in the United States, an off-road-focused Pro-4X trim.
At the heart of the new Armada is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine, a powerhouse borrowed from the Infiniti QX80. This engine produces an impressive 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, outperforming the previous V-8 by 25 horsepower and 103 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard adaptive four-wheel drive, the new engine promises a dynamic driving experience both on and off the road.
Nissan has significantly improved the Armada’s structural integrity, with a 25 percent increase in torsional rigidity and a 57 percent boost in lateral stiffness. These enhancements translate to a smoother ride and better off-road capabilities, especially with the new Pro-4X trim. This rugged variant comes equipped with 20-inch all-terrain tires, adaptive air suspension, a metal skid plate, and an electronic locking rear differential—a feature that was previously exclusive to the Middle Eastern-market Nissan Patrol. The Armada Pro-4X offers an impressive 9.6 inches of ground clearance at its highest suspension setting, and its redesigned front and rear fascias improve its approach and departure angles.
For those who prefer luxury over off-road adventures, the new Platinum Reserve model offers 22-inch wheels, an adaptive air suspension, and a host of interior upgrades, including massaging seats and a head-up display.
The 2025 Armada is packed with safety features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and Nissan’s Pro Pilot Assist, which now includes hands-free highway driving capabilities.
Although pricing is yet to be announced, the 2025 Nissan Armada is expected to remain competitive with other large sport utility vehicles when it hits dealerships later this year.
