The Class of 2025 heard powerful words from keynote speaker LeVar Burton, who honored the legacy of the Black experience “from slavery to the stars,” serenading graduates with Reading Rainbow and urging them to see themselves as “living proof of your ancestors’ dreams.”
President Ben Vinson III and Board Chair Laurence C. Morse reminded students that they are heirs to a legacy that shaped the Harlem Renaissance and architects of the future yet to come.
From first-generation graduates to legacy builders, the 2025 Commencement marked a rite of passage filled with joy, pride, and purpose.
