Introducing 2024 #astronautscholar Clara Hung and 2023 & 2024 Astronaut Scholar Cooper Jacobus from @UCBerkeley!
Clara is pursuing a dual major in computer science and physics. She has worked in Prof. Laura Waller’s Computational Imaging Lab, where her projects have spanned from machine learning-accelerated light simulation to lensless imaging. Last summer, she interned at Apple on the Camera Systems Simulation team. Cooper is pursuing a major in astrophysics with a minor in logic and has published multiple papers. He has worked for three years as a researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab to produce the largest-ever simulation of the visible matter in the universe.
