2023 Effingham Lighted Christmas Parade & Santa Comes To Town!

On Saturday, December 2, the Downtown Effingham Business Group put on the Lighted Christmas Parade! A huge crowd lined Jefferson Avenue to watch the parade that lasted close to ten minutes. And they were rewarded by a very colorful and very bright procession of vehicles of all kinds decorated in lights. It was a lot of fun, and like any good parade in Effingham, Il., candy was thrown out to the children by several of the participants. At the end of the parade came the moment everyone had been waiting for...Santa Claus came to town, riding on a fire truck! This town knows how to kick off the Christmas season, and for this video is for those of you that couldn't make it to the parade. Merry Christmas!
