On the weekend of May 28-29, 2016 there was a dam release on the Puntledge River in Courtenay, B.C which made for great kayaking. This video shows Tarp and Play Wave which is one of the most popular play spots on the river. The event was organized by the Vancouver Island Whitewater Paddling Society.
