In keeping up with the old & obsolete theme, here's yet another computer: an iBook G4. With only 512 MB of ram and the Power PC processor, internet browsing, video watching, or anything that involves usage of the Adobe Flash ecosystem is frighteningly slow and unusable, which goes to show just how bloated the modern web/internet has become. Using third party programs such as TenFourFox (a clone of Mozilla's Firefox) and Youview (a program which allows successful viewing of Youtube videos without lock ups, glitches and stuttering) bring back most of the functionality of this computer. And I was able to edit and render this video solely on the iBook. This video took about 2.5 - 3 hours, to render (editing is surprisingly fast) but the quality of iMovie's deinterlacing and final compression is impressive, one of the reasons I'll put up with the excessive render times.
