Here's another re-discovered Japanese ad (CM) compilation, originally from 2007 or so and featuring mid-1990's ads.
This is the one the since-suspended YouTuber who originally posted/made this themed as the "Funny" one. Now...considering the slightly culturally insensitive way folks in the West tend to goggle at Japan's ""weirdness"" sometimes, irregardless of the fact that they *too* have defined, varied, *intentional* senses of humour that...well...every culture worldwide has in some form, this is a bit of a loaded subject so, allow me to try and set things straight:
The guy who posted these originally was a former American expat who was in Japan in the 90's. I don't know him personally and didn't really know what kind of character we was at the *time*, so I'm not going to accuse him of xenophobia if that's not his intention, but coming from a Western perspective in '07 of looking at content from a completely culture with its own niches, references and inside jokes? It's hard to pin down how many of these ads are *intended* to be funny or just so happen to only be a little quirky or creative.
And considering the US has created the Geico gecko, Ronald McDonald and Captain Crunch...and the UK has created the ComparetheMarket meerkats, the GoCompare man and the Honey Monster? It's almost hypocritical to pit every intended bit of humour from Japan as merely down to the differences between us and them, when we all have our own takes on quirkiness and humour.

15) Ad for magazines (YouTube's auto-translated CC for this opens with "Let's go with a story that doesn't matter". No idea if that's right, but that's a hell of an opening line to proudly, convincingly scream to sell MAGAZINES)
16) Sting gum ad (I don't think what's "Funny" here was intentional, but I kept it in because it's cool)
17) INAX toilet ad (No comment, except at least it's 100% intentionally silly)

Actually, you know what? Im so happy that Im able to make this work that Im uploading the first one of these NOW. FIRST DISNEY TRAILER REEL, YES!
Sorry for the over-enthusiasm but...heh, it just feels fantastic to finally be uploading trailer reels again, now I have better technology to work with. Well...hopefully so, it depends on what we see later on but still, here we go! Enjoy! :D And my apologies for some jitters in some parts, its in very clear, watchable quality other than that. Do know this IS a VHS that I played a lot so...yeah, expect that. ;)

7) Also Available from Walt Disney Home Video / Walt Disney Classics promo (With Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood and Mary Poppins. I miss the days when these things were categorized in a way that was meaningful, now its a lot more all over-the-place. Oh, and Boom-BUMP! THE END!)
8) Disneyland Paris ad (This must of been JUST after they renamed the resort Disneyland Paris as it all REALLY started getting popular when they brought Space Mountain in a year later, yet at that point most still referred to it as EuroDisney just before SM got launched...still, nice. And yes, I know, Im a massive dork.)
