The Media Hoarder | 1983 KITS FM 105.3 San Francisco TV commercial @TheMediaHoarder | Uploaded July 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Very short spot for KITS in its "Hot Hits" days- this was right when The Quake was starting the Rock of the 80s format which would end in June 1985. Although top 40 was usually the highest rated format, KITS actually dropped it in 1986 to pick up "Rock of the 80s" which it renamed "Modern Rock" and called itself Live 105 which never made sense. Sadly grunge ruined the format nationwide in the 90s, and after changing its name to "Alt 105" with a boring automated format it became "Dave FM" in October 2021, where ratings have remained low.
