At the 2026 Large Cars and Guitars Truck Show and Music Festival, Chris caught up with 16-year-old Colin Burles from Jonesville, Tennessee, to check out his family’s incredible 1980 International Transtar Eagle II.
This classic International cabover was discovered on Facebook Marketplace after Colin’s father—who had always wanted one—saw the listing and went to take a look. He didn’t come home empty-handed.
The Transtar features a Silver 92 Detroit, 4.10 rear ends, a 13-speed transmission and a beautifully preserved original interior that feels like a true trucking time capsule. It is paired with a 2019 Barrett livestock trailer and is currently being shown while serving as a backup truck for the family’s cattle-hauling operation.
Colin recently turned 16, but he already knows exactly what he wants to do: haul cattle. In another couple of years, he hopes to be behind the wheel, burning fuel and turning heads in a truck that represents everything he loves about old-school trucking.
