Further education programme The 60 70 80 Show focused its gaze on Reg Spry, a photographer who had taken up amateur astronomy in retirement with such passion that he built a revolving observatory in his garden out of an old shed. His amazing self-made telescopes were created from random junk including car parts, old binoculars and pieces of toilet plumbing. Presenter Irene Thomas was given a tour of Reg's garden observatory and his workshop at his home in Selsey.
