The archives at University of Alaska Fairbanks sends congratulations to FNA on its 50th Festival of Native Arts, taking place at the UAF Troth Yeddha’ Campus, February 22-24, 2024.
These scenes from the 1974 Festival of Native Arts at UAF include dancers from Northway, Tanacross and Salcha, Alaska. An unidentified woman is interviewed about her techniques for making birch bark baskets, and Jim Johnson of Tanana is interviewed about his hand-built snowshoes (Color/Sound/Umatic videotape).
