The 1969 Zeltweg sports car race was the 1000 km race on the newly built Österreichring circuit, which marked its official opening and was the final round of the FIA International Championship for Makes. The race was significant for being the first victory for the Porsche 917, with drivers Jo Siffert and Kurt Ahrens Jr. taking the win
