The Devils was a play by the British dramatist John Whiting, adapted from the 1952 book The Devils of Loudun by Aldous Huxley, it opened at the Aldwych Theatre earlier in 1961 and starred Dorothy Tutin, Richard Johnson, Diana Rigg and Max Adrian.
John discussed the setting and characters of the play, as we wander through the delightful streets of the French town of Loudun.
