This is a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, created by the Ford motor company custom built in Italy. One of the lead designers at Ford Motor Company went diving and saw a shark, and was inspired to create a car with fins like a fish. That resulted in the 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, and probably inspired all of the auto makers to put tailfins on their cars. This is an extremely rare prototype car, and it was the basis for the Batmobile from the television series. A 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car was modified to create the Batmobile in the classic Adam West TV show Batman. Because this was a concept car, and very few were made, it is very rare to actually see a 1955 Lincoln Futura car in the real world. I saw this car at a car show in southern California, and I have seen it at a few other shows as well in southern California.
