This is 16mm amateur silent color film showing a massive parade, entitled the "Flint Motor Festival." The parade was held just prior to World War II, probably on August 4, 1940. I originally thought it was held the following year on July 4, 1941, but subsequent research, involving the "Bug Car," shown at the 2:10 mark, suggests that August 4, 1940 is the more likely date.
There are some wonderful marching bands, as well as some beautiful cars, including what I think is a 1938 Buick Y Job Concept Car at roughly the 2:15 mark.
