This video shows the results of many restoration steps designed to improve the quality of amateur film transfers. These film clips were taken between 1935 and 1955 using 16mm silent film (there is no sound). Restoration steps included dirt removal; color correction; brightness and contrast adjustment; motion stabilization (to remove both camera shake and film gate weave); sharpness improvement; grain reduction; and flicker elimination.
