In this video I update the firmware on my controller from GRBL V0.9 to V1.1 – and attempt to keep settings which will allow the variable speed to continue to perform the way it had. The problem I faced was I couldn’t get the variable speed to work at first in V1.1 – and code looked very different to me. I am a noob at programming and nearly got distracted researching a feature called piecewise_linear_spindle. Anyway I try and show some of the deadends - to start a conversation and hopefully prevent you wasting your time too. I got everything work – apart from the margin scan and here are a list of the codes I changed in V1.1
