Today on Little Wars TV, we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings with a unique 12-player wargame event. Originally conceived by the British admiralty as a quick knockout blow against the Ottoman Empire, the Dardanelles operation turned into a bloody stalemate. Winston Churchill took much of the blame and spent the rest of his life rationalizing and defending his role in the planning. In this wargame, we allow the allied players a second chance to plan a new attack. Serving in overall command on each side, we have a retired Lieutenant General Rhys Jones of New Zealand facing off against one of YouTube's biggest military historians, Griffin Johnsen, The Armchair Historian. How will these commanders reshape Gallipoli using their historical knowledge of the 1915 operation?

Thank you to both of our guest players, Rhys and Griffin! We know most of our viewers are already subscribers to The Armchair Historian channel, but if you aren't...well, you're in for a treat. Go check out one of Griffin's recent videos on Gallipoli from the Ottoman perspective. Conveniently, we gave Griffin the chance to take that role in the wargame!
