160 years ago today, the Army of the Potomac enters the malaria-infested swamp of the Chickahominy River. McClellan's engineering background will be put to the test as he orders the construction of multiple bridges across the river. This is the last natural obstacle between McClellan and his prize--the Confederate capital of Richmond. Today we're visiting the site of the so-called "Grapevine Bridge."
