How are they using over 1 gigabyte to give you the friggin weather?
Windows has admitted to have a bloat problem. They can barely run on their hyped low-end hardware, and stuff like this is exactly why.
When you pull up the MSN Weather app, it uses 1.2 gigabytes of RAM to serve you both your local forecast, but also an unhealthy amount of ads.
Compare that to Apple who is under 300 megabytes and doesn’t invade you with marketing slop and they’re the number one valued company in the entire world.
And the reason is obvious. It’s not an actual app, it’s a webapp. It’s a Chrome page with a wrapper that disguises it.
